Apple Business Connect: what Siri says about you
The short version
Apple Business Connect is the control panel for your business in Apple Maps, Siri, Spotlight, and everything Apple's AI features surface. Apple opened it to every business free of charge in 2023, and most local businesses have still never touched it. Every iPhone in your city asks Apple's stack first.
What it is
Apple Business Connect is Apple's claimed-listing platform: your name, address, phone, hours, photos, and action buttons as they appear across Apple Maps, Siri, Spotlight search, Wallet, and Messages. Apple launched it in 2023 so businesses could feed Apple their own record instead of leaving Apple to assemble one from licensed data.
Unclaimed, your Apple Maps listing is a compilation of third-party sources. Claimed, it is yours.
Which machines read it
Siri answers from Apple's own places data. So do Spotlight, Apple Maps suggestions, and the Apple Intelligence features rolling through iOS. When somebody lifts an iPhone and says the name of your trade, Apple's record decides what comes back.
Apple Maps data also rides inside thousands of iOS apps that embed Apple's map stack, so one wrong suite number travels far beyond the Maps app.
What usually breaks
The unclaimed listing is the standard failure: Apple compiled it, nobody with firsthand knowledge ever checked it, and it quietly disagrees with your Google record. Wrong pin placements send customers to the back of the building. Old names survive rebrands.
Because so few businesses claim it, this is another correction your competitors are not making.
